Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account information: your email address and a first name. Your password is stored as a hash by our authentication provider, not in plain text. If you sign up with Google, we receive the email address and profile information Google shares with us.
• Name and country: the first name and country you provide during registration and on your travel profile.
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one to your travel profile.
• Travel profiles: your travel style (solo, couple, friends, family), languages, interests, age (optional), bio, current city, and discoverability setting.
• Trips and destinations: the cities and dates you add to your trips.
• Travel preferences and interests: interests such as food, photography, hiking, beaches, nightlife, culture, history, shopping, and adventure.
• Chat messages: the text messages you send to travelers you are connected with, along with send and read status.
• Connections: the connections and connection requests you send or receive.
• Notifications: in-app notifications such as connection requests, accepted connections, messages, and matches.
• AI requests and itinerary data: the inputs you give the AI trip planner (budget, duration, interests, preferred cities) and the AI assistant (your questions), plus the itineraries and answers generated for you. We count AI and itinerary requests to enforce usage limits.
• Approximate destination/location information: the city-level destinations and trips you enter, and the places you search for or view on the map. We do not collect precise device GPS location.
• Subscription information: your plan (free or premium), usage counts, start date, and renewal or cancellation dates.
• Payment processing: Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and renewal status; Stripe handles your card and payment details, which we do not see or store.
• Technical/local storage: we use your browser local storage to remember your language preference and to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Generate personalized itineraries and AI answers.
• Show your travel profile to other travelers and help you find travel matches.
• Enable messaging and connections between travelers.
• Send in-app notifications.
• Enforce free and Premium usage limits.
• Process Premium subscriptions and renewals through Stripe.
• Maintain the security of the Service.

Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored as hashes, not in plain text. We offer sign-in with Google.

Access to records is restricted by your account and role (user or admin). We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure.

Other travelers can see your travel profile when discoverability is on, and can read the messages you send them.

Stripe receives the payment information needed to process your Premium subscription.

Our AI providers receive the prompts needed to generate itineraries and answers.

We do not sell your personal information.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Usage counts reset each billing period.

When you delete your account, your personal data is removed or anonymized as described under Account deletion; reports filed about you may be retained for moderation history.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your user account, travel profile, trips, favorites, notifications, blocks, your subscription record, and your outgoing connection requests, and signs you out.

Connections involving you are dissolved. Messages you sent to other travelers are anonymized (their text is replaced with a placeholder) so the other person’s conversation thread remains intact without retaining your personal content. Messages other people sent you are left in their own conversation history.

Reports you filed are deleted. Reports filed about you are retained for moderation history; once your account is deleted they no longer link to a live profile.

Deleting your account automatically cancels any active Premium subscription so you are not billed again. Your Stripe customer record is retained by Stripe.

You can access, correct, or update your profile and trip information in the app. You can turn off discoverability to hide your profile from other travelers, and you can block or report other travelers.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
